Story: A Child with Down Syndrome Says the Alphabet Backwards
Jun 10, 2025We received this amazing and adorable video from one of our parents whose child is getting lessons from several Anat Baniel Method® (ABM) NeuroMovement® Practitioners.
Following is the message that his mom sent with the video:
“At our house, we follow the Nine Essentials every moment we can. Anat Baniel’s book Kids Beyond Limits is like a bible to me.
We started ABM [NeuroMovement] lessons when my son turned 2 years old with ABM Practitioners Brendan Elms and Marcy Lindheimer. We have had about 45 lessons between the two of them so far.
In this video, my son (who has a diagnosis of Down Syndrome and just turned 4) is spontaneously practicing the Variation Essential!
We taught him the ABCs but he decided to figure out how to say them backwards.:)”
